Always good in every way

Always delicious authentic food! Plenty of room in this location to have a larger table. The food is fresh hot and amazing! Staff is always very accommodating and quick to serve!

The server seemed bothered with our allergy and vegan concerns. Food was ok but really expensive for tacos.

The best restaurant in Fredericksburg! Always good, always interesting new additions to the tasty standard menu. Don’t miss the cream of crab soup! The staff is so friendly, too!

We visited our son who lives in Fredericksburg and he couldn't wait to bring us to Soup and Taco. We were able to get a table outside and enjoy the warm April sunshine.We all had the soup of the day which was a spicy chicken chili and it was fantastic. The tacos were filled with shrimp and chicken and had the regular accompaniments of sour cream and guacamole. Everything tasted fresh and came out of the kitchen hot! Our server was friendly and helped us make our choices.

No wait time, very friend staff. They have a very large menu to choose from and offer a special Sunday brunch menu. Some of the family favorites are the chicken or beef tacos and beef burrito. I like that the beef isn't ground, but small steak chunks.

Ate here today , first time. We will be back, again, and again.

Small local restaurant. The Chicken Tortilla soup did not have much chicken or tortilla. The steak tacos were good. The quesadilla was not cooked all the way through, the cheese not melted. No parking, we were able to park on a side street not far from the restaurant.

Love the chicken tortilla soup. We have tried several types of tacos and enjoyed all of them. The chips and salsa are great. Only gripe is lack of parking.

Great service, great selection, great food! Lots of spicy. Impressive beer selection for a small place, and top shelf tequila available. Extremely affordable!

Best tortilla soup I've ever had! They also do amazing things with deep fried pineapple and spicy cranberry chutney.Staff is awesome! Friendly, accurate service. Everything was perfectly prepared, freshly made, and absolutely delicious! Food options are creatively inspired, beyond the usual Mexican themed restaurant. Food seems very authentic to Central American style.They have a creative adult beverage menu. Try something new! You won't be disappointed.I wish they had more dedicated parking.

It's fine, nothing amazing. Pupusas were pretty good, chorizo tacos average, enchiladas quite tasty. Very good service helped but it's probably a one and done kind of place.

I come here all the time, and I always love this place! My favorite thing is the taco salad with chicken, but I have had the steak tacos, the fish tacos, and a few other menu items that I was also a fan of. The margaritas are great, too! Always good service here, I have no complaints!

What better place to enjoy lunch on a rainy Fall day? Hot chicken tortilla soup to warm your belly and perfectly crafted tacos paired with great service and a fun, relaxed atmosphere! I truly enjoy this little spot (and it’s sister spot on Caroline) and the pricing is just right so there’s no guilt when the family wants to go more often! One of downtowns great gems! 💎

Good food. Great service. Prices aren't bad. It's a wonderful little hole in the wall. All food is prepared on-site and not in a 'corporate microwave'.

They have the best crab soup I've ever tasted and visit often just for it! Their taco salads and nachos are loaded with fresh and are absolutely delicious ! The food is consistent each visit, I love Soup and Taco, both locations!

I find the #2 better than the original. More seating inside and out. Parking is a little harder though.

Absolutely the rudest people! I told the waitress no guacamole and my food had it on it.. she didn't come back soon enough so I put it on the plate. Got my bill and was charged for it. I told her I said no when she asked if I wanted it she proceeded to say I did order it and then said I should have told her.. when my bill came she charged me anyway. The people at my table heard me tell her no!

Homey & yummy! Great food from scratch! This has become a happy escape for me. The fact that this location has a "neighborhood restaurant" vibe to it is welcome.

Excellent Mexican food, and courteous, friendly service. All found their food to be delicious. Of note are the soups (the soup of the day when we were there was a cream of crab), and the shrimp avocado salad. The steak fajitas my brother had was the nicest I've seen, and he loved it. I was told the chimichanga was spicy with hot peppers, but I like it that way. They did a nice job accommodating our large group. Worth the trip.

The chicken empañadas here are delicious and the margaritas are yummy too! One of my favorite local spots in Fredericksburg.

A small yet delightful restaurant. We had a rather large party but our server managed well. Everyone ordered something different and there were no complaints. I ordered the enfrijoladas (as pictured); the meal was large and very good. The salsa was a bit on the too spicy side but was also good. The guacamole was bland, however. Rating 4 stars because of the lackluster guacamole, the floors were a little dirty, and the chairs and tables wobbled.

Food is delicious but I do not like how they don't have fountain soda.

Didn't care for the food, it was very bland. Salsa tasted like it had way to much chili seasoning of some sorts, and the queso didn't taste like queso it tasted like cheese from a can. I was really excited to eat at this place it looks very quaint, different type of place from what I normally would eat.

Great local place for tacos and soup. The staff very friendly and the place is cozy. There is indoor and outdoor seating which is great on a nice day.

Very good. Been here a few times. Highly reccomend the shrimp and fish tacos. Their style of pork is very dry, so I would avoid those. Basic rice and beans, nothing fancy but still good. Their soups are all excellent.

Really tasty Mexican food at great prices with a nice home-like atmosphere. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming and the kitchen generally moves quickly. Love coming here as much as possible!

Tried mani tacos. They were ok, sort of dry. When I asked for more sauce they wanted to charge.

Fresh and quick. Salsa and horchata were great and the chipotle shrimp enchiladas were spicy and delicious.

Soup and Taco is an FXBG institution and you really can't go wrong. I usually start with yucca fries or pupusas and of course, one of their delicious margaritas! The tacos are all fantastic and you get 2 huge ones for a great price. When I'm really hungry I get a chimichanga - to die for! Leave room for dessert and get the tres leches cake or the bunuelas.

Food is excellent! Drinks depend on the bartender on duty. One of my favorite spots in town. Great PUPUSAS!
